Hand sewn, designed by me. Fabric is a vintage top sheet, and I also made the buttons to match. The blouse is one of a kind, created from a pattern I developed based on three different vintage patterns. It measures about 22” from underarm to underam.
I am self taught as a sewist, and still learning, but sewing is in my blood! My ancestors on both sides worked in the factories in Lawrence and Lowell, and I’m proud to keep up the tradition.
It’s also important to me that what I make comes from something that’s already been in the world. I do not want to add to the waste, rather take something nobody wanted and create something hopefully useful and loved!
